FRIDAY, APRIL 11, 2003

A group of dedicated members from the Albany Running Exchange descend upon Josh, Ian, and Jay's apartment for the final preparations necessary for Saturday's packet pickup.

While Ian helps Evan count his fingers, Amanda and Ryan continue to prepare the packets.

SATURDAY, APRIL 12, 2003

Today was quite a busy day in Dodge the Deer land.  It began around 9:30am as several ARE volunteers assembled at Rensselaer Lake Park for the preliminary course marking.  At 11am and 4:30pm there were course walk-throughs for the course marshals, and from noon to 4pm a packet pickup was held.  A course walk/jog was offered at 2:30pm which several deer dodgers took advantage of.  In addition, the finish area was setup, and a few strong volunteers took to the trail for one last effort at removing the remnants of the harsh winter.
