DODGE THE DEER is held at Schodack
Island State Park
The park is DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH
the NYS Thruway connector ON the Hudson River.
From Albany or I-787: (Just
15 minutes out of Albany!)
T ake Rte 20 east; after crossing the Hudson continue
to Rte 9J. Follow Rte. 9J south approximately 8 miles,
past Castleton-on-Hudson, NY. The park is on the right. |

From the EAST (MA, CT, etc.)
Get onto i90 and take it into NY. Get off at exit B1 to
Albany (RT-9)/Hudson, then take the US-9 exit 12 SOUTH
to Hudson. Take Route 9 just under 2 miles, turning a
sharp right onto Schodack Landing Rd (first
major intrsctn).Follow 3.5 miles to Route 9J. Turn right
(heading North) on 9J for ~3.5 miles. Turn LEFT into the
Park. |

From the NORTH
Take the NORTHWAY (I87) south to (I90 EAST).
Take I787 SOUTH (the exit is just before the Hudson River)
and follow the directions entitled "From Albany or
I-787" |

From the SOUTH
Take the NYS Thruway (I87) north to exit 21A to Mass
Tpke (I-90 E)/Boston. Get off at exit B1 to Albany (RT-9)/Hudson,
then take the US-9 exit 12 SOUTH to Hudson. Take Route
9 just under 2 miles, turning a sharp right onto Schodack
Landing Rd (first major intrsctn).Follow 3.5
miles to Route 9J. Turn right (heading North) on 9J
for ~3.5 miles. Turn LEFT into the Park.
