haven't been to an ARE event, then you are yet to see just what a blast
attending a race can be! The ARE directs three major races:

| This is a fun and low-key event that features
an all-you-eat pancake breakfast after the run. Its purpose
is to serve as an introductIon to snowshoeing, with Bob Dion
on-hand providing loaners and helpful tips. |

| This was the first event the ARE ever
produced. Its goal is to get people running on trails. The
course is not technical at all and extremely fast, making
it your perfect trail-running start! There is a whole story
surrounding the characters in the event. |

| Created in 2005, this event has become
a favorite among many trail runners for both the beauty of
the course and its festive Halloween atmosphere. Runners are
encouraged to run in costume and even pick up bananas that
are on the course! |

The ARE also directs the fourth race in the HMRRC
Winter Series and produces a free fifteen week Summer
Trail Run Series! Every December we host our ever-challenging "ARE-Style
Adventure Race" which features tree climbing, rock jumping, and more!
Lastly, the club is always looking to add new and unique events, so stay
tuned as you never know what they may think of next. |
