Directions

Five Rivers EEC In Delmar approximately 8 miles southwest of Albany. From Albany follow Delaware Avenue (Route 443) through the Village of Delmar. Continue 1.2 miles beyond the Elm Street traffic light, past Bethlehem Central High School to Orchard Street. Turn right onto Orchard Street and then left onto Game Farm Road. You'll see the Visitor Center straight ahead.

ON RUSSELL ROAD JUST NORTH OF KRUMKILL.

From Western Avenue at Fuller Road.
Proceed EAST towards downtown Albany. You will pass the SUNY campus on your left. About .75m later, turn RIGHT onto Russell Road (by Stewarts.) Continue on Russell ~2 miles, park will be on your right about 1/4m after crossing the Thruway.

New Karner Road

From Central Avenue
Take Central to New Karner Road (turn right onto NK if coming from Schenectady, left if coming from Albany). Go ~1.5 miles, turn left just past the light at Old State Road (across from the SEFCU) to park on the dirt adjacent to the trail entrance.

From Washington Avenue
Take Washington Ave. WEST to New Karner Road, and turn right. Parking is on your right about a 1/4m later, just after you cross the bridge.

Madison Avenue Ext.

From Central Avenue
Take Central to New Karner Road (turn right onto NK if coming from Schenectady, left if coming from Albany). Take NK about 2 miles to the intersection with Washington Avenue and turn RIGHT onto Madison Avenue Extension. You will see a large water tower on your left. Take road to the end, about a 1/2 mile.

From Washington Avenue
Take Washington Ave. WEST to THE END. You will cross New Karner, the name changes to Madison Avenue Extension. It is at the end of Madison Ave. Ext.

Columbia Circle

From New Karner Avenue
Take Washington Ave. EAST about .75m and turn RIGHT onto Columbia Circle West Drive. Stay on this road as it winds for .25m until you see the Pine Bush Preserve sign. Parking is in the back lot.

From downtown Albany
Take Washington Ave. WEST past Crossgates. Turn left at Columbia Circle East Drive. (Across from the PB Police Station.) Follow the road a half mile, at which time the road goes straight and off to the right: turn LEFT into the parking lot (there is a sign for Pine Bush on the right side as you turn left.) Go to the end.
Guilderland Elementary School From downtown Albany
Take Western Avenue WEST into Guilderland and go PAST Route 155. After about 1m, you will pass Prospect Hill Cemetery on your right. At the next light turn RIGHT into the school. Drive around to the back.
Peebles Island State Park


The entrance to Peebles Island State Park is located on Ontario Street, near the 112th Street Bridge in Cohoes. From the northern end of Interstate 787, take Route 470 (Ontario Street) east for approximately one mile, turn left onto Delaware Avenue and continue approximately one mile to the state park.

From Troy, Take Second Avenue to the 112th Street Bridge, cross over the Hudson River and take the first right onto Delaware Avenue.

Take I-90 WEST from Albany to I-88 WEST (Exit 25a.)
Take exit 24 (Route 7), turning LEFT at the end of the off-ramp.
Proceed one mile, then bear RIGHT onto Route 20/Western Tpke, taking it 6.5 miles.
Just after crossing a bridge, bear RIGHT on Charleston St.
After a half mile, bear right to stay on Conover Rd - after 3/4m, stay right for Lape Rd.
